Default Check engine light

my check engine light came on due to the fact that I may not have screwed my oil cap back on properly. Is there a way I can reset that light or will the dealership/shop have to do that?

After a number of drive cycles the light will go out if the fault is not detected again. If you are in a hurry you can disconnect the battery. Jeff

thanks jeff. I'll see if this works. the car drives fine and I definitely screwed the cap on wrong so I'm not too worried about it.
