Motor Mounts 2002 C2

Motor Mounts 2002 C2
My 2002 C2 has symptoms of failed motor mounts including low-slung exhaust tips and nervous passenger seatback. (Also, looks like a rewarding/achievable DIY!).
Based on related threads here, and on how I intend to use the car, I'm leaning toward stock-spec mounts. A few questions before I dig in:
Are there three 'classes' of stiffness (base, TT, track-oriented), or just two (base, track) that would directly fit my 2002 C2)?
Are there worthwhile differences between the OEM units available and the Porsche-stamped mounts?
Thanks in advance for any relevant recommendations, warnings, tips, tricks, and tall tales.

I found what I think were stock ones on Amazon from a link on this site... They were about $55 each. That was $150 less per mount than my local Porsche dealer.
They are made by Rein.

Thanks, 'flyin. The Rein mounts caught my eye too, didn't know if they were any different (in stiffness, or durability) than the dealer bits other than the brand stamping.

I think that is a good price for Reins!
FCP Foreign Car Parts was having a sale on all Rein products, and they are $78 each. So your Amazon source is better
I just cannot see how the Reins could be much inferior to your dealer's mounts. Even if they don't last 5 years, you still come out far ahead by replacing them 4 times over.

I have the factory 964 RS mounts and they are great! No excess vibration or drone and stiff enough for spirited driving.
I have an extra set new in the package (ordered 2 pair instead of 2 mounts) if you're interested.

Don't go stock. Get RSS or OEM GT3RS. The RSS made huge difference in feel of car and do not add any noticeable harshness. I daily drive my car going on 2 years with RSS mounts and FF1 yellow transmission insert and would never go back to stock.

I have the Wevo semi-solid mounts. They're one of the few aftermarket parts I have left installed. Many of the other "upgrades" I have tried out (such as a couple of different intakes) turned out to be mediocre and I subsequently uninstalled them, but I have no desire to go back to the OEM motor mounts.

Hi Jason, "upgrade" of what sort? (Serious question). Longer lasting than stock? More track-ready than stock? Cushier than stock? Half the price for 3/4 the durability, thus a better value?
Thanks for any info on 'which mounts get you what' -- given that I've no use for solid mounts.

I just got the rein's off ebay, $60 each. Installed myself, simple with garage, floor jack and ramps. Fit perfectly.
Only been in the 996 for a month now but, tail pipes are much closer to the body, car seems tighter and more responsive. Read many posts that the shifter might be less notchy after install, but I haven't noticed that claim, not that my shifter was that notchy to begin with.

They cost a little more, in the low $300's for a pair.
I found this review on here from somebody that installed those mounts.
"Car now handles like a go-cart through turns and quick transitions! However, I was surprised what a difference it made to shifting... feels like I installed a new shifter, as throws were much tighter and more precise through the gates... and my car has less than 20k miles, so time really is a factor with these mounts degrading it appears.
Essentially minimal increase in NVH... maybe 5% at startup and through 2500-4000 rpm, but ots not harsh, just more raw which is not out of line for my sports car.
Anyone who is on the fence about this should really get it done already! Torque Solutions mounts get two thumbs up from me!"
