Default 2000 996tt

Hi guys,

Im thinking of buying a 2000 996 tt with 60.000 miles, car has gt2 intercooler and ecu remapping, about 470hp, so what should I look for in these cars? Known problems?

Wheel bearings go bad, the front left pads tend to be a problem, The windshield wipers like to wear out early. But if you ask the TT guys I bet they'd be able to give you a better idea

That year is impossible to find. Try going for the 2001 model.

Thanks guys, sorry for the mistake, I already posted on the right forum.

At least you guys were kind enough to point me some issues...on the tt forum they indicated the search button...must be the turbo, it's so fast they don't have the time to help..hehe

The car is a 2001 MY, built in 2000.

that or the question gets asked so often that it is a waste to type a response when very detailed posts can provide the answer. check the coolant pipes and over revs.

Blame Atrox and me. He was getting crapped on a little over in the turbo forum for asking the question and we pointed out that this forum is a good source for info as well as it is a lot more active. The advice to use the search function is valid.
