Why would you need more than two or three designs?

I had a Dulce Decorum from Starbucks. Too sweet, but it did fit nicely in my cup holder.

Alright guys, this is RL so cup holder threads need at least minimum of rehashed 3 pages of content.

I personally think this is a good and simple idea for driver's that only occasionally bring drinks onboard. It's more accessible(notice the ultimate cup holder below) and doesn't get in the way of anything. You remove it when you don't need it and stash it under the seat. Out of site, out of mind. There's also a dual cup version. Just another option.

That's a weird place for a tow hook.

Incidentally, your wire organizer can also be used as a drink holder in times of crisis.

I agree with Alpine and have the same "Tow Hook" cup holder which is great. Mine is in black though so it blends in better than bright yellow. The only thing is that it does not work with smaller cups as they slide right through the "hook".

Thanks for the post, Dave! Yes, the cup holder retrofit kit HERE is very popular.

I have the retrofit kit as well (yes THREE cup holders). It is a bit delicate and is best for smaller cups. I use it for paper cappuccino cups and it works great. You have to be gentle when you press on it to bring the holder out and put it away, if you are not, i would expect it could break.

Sadly, the retrofit for 99 kit does not work with cars having option 680 which is the DSP stereo stuff. I have option 680 - so no fit. I suppose I could just get rid of the CD tray holder, and move the HVAC head down where that was, then put the cupholder kit in, but alas, too late I bought and installed the Ultimate cupholder product.

I know it's too late but most peeps with DSP just tuck it and hide it behind the console. I don't know too many that fiddle with the buttons anyways. I believe many if not all of the '01s at least came with the din cup holders right above the radio.

My HVAC controls are above the stereo head. And yes, I fiddled with the DSP buttons once, and decided I wouldn't mess with it again.

Correct as you have a '99 as stated but people move these down all the time to the lower console to put in the retrofit cup holders. It's very easy to do.
