Default Albuquerque?

I am headed to Albuquerque this Thursday, December 3rd as my son's high school wrestling team is in a tournament there over the weekend. Looks like I will have quite a bit of down time. I will have other parents to hang with - but wonder if there is anyone on here that wants to get together for a beer or can clue me in to any cars and coffees, car shows or auto museums in the area.

I don't think its up to the standard your used to in KC but the Unser Racing museum is worth a look if your in that area (I have not been there It was suggested by a friend of mine in the states) We were in Daytona and it looked a bit far for a drive

Ow. Sorry to hear that. I haven't been to ABQ for 30 years. Maybe it's less of a turd now.

I think the closest thing you'll find to a Cars-n-Coffee is the Furr's Cafeteria parking lot on Saturday morning. If you like rusty Chevy trucks, you'll be in heaven.

Preach, brother. Nowhere else will you find a people so proud of their not-very-authentic, mediocre Mexican food. "Maybe if we make it hot enough, they won't notice that it doesn't taste good. Pass that block of government-surplus cheddar, please."

It only takes a couple of meals to realize why they pronounce "posole" as "****-olay" instead of "puh-solay"...

Hoorah - bad Mexican food. Hopefully the beer is cold.
Anyone know if the Route 66 Auto Museum in Santa Rosa is worth driving 1 hour 45 minutes to go see?

You office in an auto museum, last place I'd think you'd want to be is another auto museum. Be sure to stop by the Mormon tabernacle and get a green chile burger, followed by the ***** district after a fun filled day of looking at hot air balloons. Only thing decent about New Mexico is Ruiodosa and Taos.

Second in the nation for bad drivers. So...make sure your premiums are paid up if you're driving.

I drove right past it without stopping. And we spent two days in Lafayette, LA.

If you're there over a Friday or Saturday night, you can play a round of "spot the drunken _______" (fill in the blank with your favorite ethnicity - we're ALL well-represented on the roads of ABQ at night)
