So the passenger window was making scrappie noises so I took the door panel off and fixed the cable.
Now I got an airbag warning light. I suppose I should have disconnected the battery But nooooo I didn't . So what you I have to do to fix it?
A Durametric would / could reset the light........or you need to head to the dealer. If you don't have a Durametric this might be the time get one. Items like yours will be pay for itself in no time. Good luck.
They have a professional and back yard mechanic version - do they both reset
Or do you need the pro version?

The cheaper (enthusiast version they call it) will do.
"These (enthusiast version) kits were designed for the Porsche enthusiast, those that work on their own car(s). With the exception of the Coding feature*, the Enthusiast kits offer all of the same capabilities as the Professional kits."
If you have a 99 the durametric won't do ****. I bought one for that exact same reason, bought the pro cable, it wouldn't communicate with the airbag system or any of the sub systems for that fact. Durametric attempted to blame my cars communication line, I took it into the dealer and the the light was off and I was on my way within 5 minutes
They sent me a replacement cable, same problem. Took it into the dealer, and they noted zero problems with the communications line and solved my problem within five minutes.
That's strange indeed and I can't explain it. However, Durametric works on the '99 996 and boxsters models in general. Otherwise, this issue would have been all over the internet by now.
