There may be a more painful and significant issue than just the brand ?
Regardless of brand and the material the impeller is made of, the importance of prompt replacement is difficult to overstate.
It isn't just the ugly coolant stains or the rattle of a worn pump.
If the composite vanes deteriorate to the point hat they disintegrate ,replacing the failed w-pump is just the beginning of the repair. You need to retrieve all the broken pieces of impeller to stop them blocking coolant flow. That hunting process is worthy of it's own thread.
If the metal impeller starts cutting into the crankcase half because the bearing is worn ,you may need a new crankcase half.
There is a reason some do a PM replacement at 50k miles or less.

1/4" should be inlb so that should be good. No ideas then.

The only thing I can come up with is general corrosion on the bolt from 72K miles weakened the bolt. But hell, its a 10.9 high grade bolt!

I ended up replacing all the bolts for cap heads and washers. It also makes it a lot easier to get to the hard to reach bolt!
