Default what does your dealer give you for a loaner?

my car is at the dealer's for a week (repairs). they gave me a dodge neon claims porsche's allowance is $30/day for a loaner on warranty repairs. I come to find out two other dealers (much farther away) will give you a boxster. other dealers (non-porsche) will often give you something equivalent or close to what you've got. Q: what does your dealer do for you? the bill on this repair is probably ca $7k.

Thankfully I have not yet needed service but the dealer gives Cayennes for all service.

While I would hate the neon as well...my BMW dealer refuses to give me a loaner! It's so foolish...I'll never buy another car there again.

Your Porsche dealer should really step up to the plate and give you a better car IMHO.

what BMW dealership do you go to in NJ? the dealer does not have to give you a loaner if you did not buy the car from them. some dealers do not have the same rules though, varies from dealer to dealer.

I am lucky! I haven't had to experience that yet. However, I did ask recently and was told they are economy cars. I guess their fleet is so large that giving PCars would be a rather stupid business decision and I can't fault them for that.

I have a Cayenne, so instead of giving me another Cayenne, they always provide me with a Boxster.

I've had a loaner twice from my dealer. I got a 996 and an Audi A6.

I've had the following: Boxster, Cayenne S , ML 320, Jag XJ . They usually try to get me into the Cayenne, unless there is a TT that's in for service, in which case I get the Jag. The ML 320 I think is actually a personal car of one of the salespeople as it had a whole bunch of coins and junk in the center console.

Something equivalent? I don't think there will ever be a C4S loaner , but who knows? I think the type of loaner is up to the dealers discretion, and it is up to them to keep their Porsche customers happy. So what if their allowance is only $30/day? You can always take your $7K worth of bussiness elsewhere where it is better appreciated.

A p.o.s Honda Acccord. The funny thing is that they also have a Mercedes dealership and they give new Mercedes loaners to Mercedes customers.

In this case I attribute it to the fact that for many, the Porsche is a second or third car and nobody ever complained or even uses the loaner.

With an advance appointment, usually a Boxster.

Without an advance appointment....nothing.

Got a Dodge pick up truck at one dealership and more recently at another dealership a Cayenne S. You know which dealership I'm going to from now on.

I had my MY 03 996 cab in for a rattle fix and the dealer offered me an Arctic Silver Boxster S.

I said to them... "Do you have something a little less exotic... I don't want anyone at work to know i have a Porsche".

I ended up with a 1988 Mercedes E190... hahahahahahahah
