Not your average Wednesday night...
Had to go to an open house event at the boys' school. Babysitters lined up. Ready to go. We hop in the 996 and I ask the boss (my wife): Top down? Yes. Whoo hoo! Turn the key. Oil level checks out. Start the car. I open the top and back out of the garage. We hit the road, slowly to allow the engine to warm up, hit the main road and this nice breeze hits my face. I listen to the exhaust and the worries about tomorrow's Quality Improvement Project presentation immediately melt away. Wifey says she's glad we have a reason to get out. Now to get to the school, I have to take La Tuna Canyon. Hmmmm, nice! As I start to rev up more now that the engine's warmed up the feeling of absolute relaxation is increasing. Finally we get to school and go through the event. On the way back, wife says let's stop by and get some beer. So we go to a local microbrewery enjoy 2 pints and get home. My reward at the end of the night.... that's none of your business!
And you say 996s don't get you women.

That isn't possible for a 996 drive.
There were no calls to Flat 6.
Oil was only briefly mentioned, and not in a negative context.
Nothing "dreaded" was mentioned.
No odd sounds were mentioned.
No failures occurred that could be blamed on the IMSB.
No funny smells were talked about.
Your top didn't get stuck half way open.

Last week I got a text from an older woman I went on a few dates with.
"Hey, sorry to bug you but I think one of my earrings fell off while we were kissing in your car. Any chance you can look for it?"
Sure enough, I found it and mailed it.....only for it to fall out of the envelope via transit. Lol

Passenger door didn't get stuck.
Battery didn't die.
Clutch cut off switch wasn't bad.
Tires behaved nicely.
No rattling.
I'd say it was perfect!
Just as a FYI for the future, you can no longer send items like that in a regular envelope. The post office sends envelopes through roller machines. Any objects will immediately get pressed out and if they don't, someone there will manually remove it from the envelope.

Next time I have this incident, I will be more mindful of this!

The intent was to show the other side of 996 ownership. It's not all sob stories.
You need one of these:
(It might help you loosen up a bit.)
