update...battery replaced...symptoms gone. I guess compression in the hot engine really saps the power out of a dying battery. I went with a Costco battery with 790cca. 120 C$. while in there I noticed my cabin filters are kinda dirty...so thosell have to get replaced this winter. no good deed hey.

 

You need to do the airstarter conversion.
