Damn. I thought it would scrub off more then that since it'll get my heart pumping.
Got the fabspeeds installed and it sounds Awsome.. ( It seems a bit louder then I remembered it on Leon's car.) Well, I guess the louder stereo now comes in handy. just hope my neighbors don't start complaning.

Peter - did you audition the PSE vs the Fabspeeds before you decided? I'm considering adding the PSE to my '03 coupe. I've read that the '03s sound a bit better than the prior years and it may not be worth the money to bother. I've also been thinking that I don't want the thing to sound obnoxious (you mentioned your neighbors) or too tricked out - more like the noise level of the older air-cooled classic porsche sound... what's your opinion now that you've got it going on?
I'm in LA as well - I was thinking of having By Design install it. Would you recommend your place?
Thanks in advance for the response!

you can hear different exhaust on the following site.

The fabspeeds definitely has a very distint sound to it like the old air-cooled sound, but a bit louder. I don't think it's to the point where it sounds obnoxious. I chosed it mainly because it has a really deep sound which I like and pse w/ electronic cost too much for my wallet.
I don't know how much by-design charge for install but my shop charged me 400 for cai, headers, exhaust, and a oil change. and most importantly, they're by my house out here near city of industry. They did a good job installing and everything looks great. If you live east of downtown and want to give them a try, I'll get you his phone number.

Not a slam but those are horrible sound clips. Too much distortion to even hear anything.
...and yes I read the disclaimer!
"Note:
These sound clips are recorded using "seat-of-the-pants" methods during an informal outing. They serve to trigger memory of what the real exhaust sounds like, but in no way represent the actual sound 100%. Some of the clips sounds more accurate than other depending on the location of the camera. The "Parked" sound clips and the Gemballa clip are probably the closest to real.
In any case, you should NOT make an upgrade decision based on these sound clips."

Peter -
Forgive me for sounding stupid, but did you say that your entire Fabspeeds - including parts and installation - was 400 bucks!?! If this is right, I'll try it for sure and remove them if I decide later I don't like them! The PSE - even without the electronic switch - is much more $ as you know...
Would you have gone with the PSE if the price wasn't the issue?

WOW the PSE Sport Exhaust sounds really nice but so does the Fabspeed. Their note is very close. What's the diff in price between them?
