I would like to know if a water cooled 996 turbo look model is available and if so when was the first year produced and the basic model cost

I've got one of the first ones available in our area, a 2002 996 C4S. Ordered October 2001, delivered Feb 2002. Here in the US, the 996 turbo-look AKA the C4S came out for MY 2002, and the C4 coupe was no longer available.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there is no RWD only "Turbo Look"?

 

There are no factory rwd only turbo look 996 model.

If you are talking about the Carrera4S, then no. The C4S is a 4 wheel drive, hence the hard to miss (4) in its name.
No sense in writing C2 anymore is there, if its not a 4wd, it must be a 2.

 

I believe there was a pre-996 wide body. I believe it was a 993 C2S. Same principle: turbo look, brakes and suspension, sans turbo and wing.

 

The C2S actually had the same running gear as the C2, just turbo body.
