+996 For proof that this is going to be an issue whenever you sell the car, just search for threads where someone is looking for advice on dealing with a flooded car. I think there was one recently in which the poster was considering a car with flood damage from 5 years earlier. The car had been driven regularly for 5 years since the flood damage. The responses were such that you would have thought the car was used for incubating ebola virus cultures or something.

Which reminds me, make sure dealer uses a product like Deoxit on any electrical connectors that may have come in contact with water. It sucks to diagnose electrical gremlins from corroded connectors.

+1 on Deoxit, I use this stuff on all my bass amps and bass guitars as well as other electronics.

So I went to my Indy repair guy who is quite a character. He immediately jumps all over me for even showing up because he had not called me back from before the long holiday. Calmed him down because the real reason for his grouchiness is that his mother is in hospice.

He made it very clear that I should get to the dealer...TODAY!!!!! (yesterday actually). It confirmed all the wisdom from the 996 group!!

Since I am relatively new to this area, but in PCA for 39 years, I checked the local newsletter and found a dealer not too faraway. There is no P-car dealer on Cape Cod despite all the signs of wealth and opulence on the Cape.

The experience at Norwell Porsche was a good one from being friendly and ready for me. Obviously the outcome will determine any final rating.
