Folks, selling my new never installed x74 suspension. I never got around to installing it since I purchased my 40th Anniversary. And now, I've sold the car. (Just had a kid recently, so I literally drove the car 2x during the first 2 months and both times I had to "force" myself to drive it just to drive it)
So I'm selling my x74 suspension. It comes with:
-2 front shocks/spring assemblies
-2 rear shock/spring assemblies
-1 engine skid plate
I don't have the sway bars as you can still get those (and my 40th had them already). The shocks/springs is what's NLA from porsche.
Based on previous sales I've seen here and online, I'm asking $2200 net to me. This is a plug and play setup. OEM Porsche, brand new, never installed/used and no longer available.
For those that have inquired about photos, sorry about the delay. Having a kid requires a lot of your time...But here are the pix! If you would like specific shots/angles, don't hesitate to ask.
GUYS......to the uniformed.......this is the holy grail of Porsche suspension! No affiliation what so ever to the seller but I feel like buying this to have it in the garage for a rainy day.
You can't buy this anymore anywhere anytime unless you want to piece meal it together....but that would be stupid.

Reason: I'm GIDDY!
Pete is spot on. If I didn't just splurge for an AC compressor this set up would be on my car or in storage to be sold later at a much higher price. Someone really needs to jump on this one so it stops tempting my Amex card.
+996 on all the above. This is a plug and play setup with no guesswork of aftermarket CO systems. Porsche even have their own specific alignment for this. Even with higher spring rates of some aftermarket setups, 80% are probably setup incorrectly and thus wouldn't be surprised if it goes slower around the track than this setup.
All you need to do is get the recommended sways and x74 alignment.
Based on the official alignment guide from Porsche, it does mention x74 for both c2/c4 alignment figures. What's unclear is if Porsche made a separate x74 kit specifically for the c4(I'm guessing not). I've only seen one kind of x74 kit so far.
The C4S guys need to look for X73 option code for widebody.

More info..
I bought my X74 kit from Gert. It was specific to a C4 so I'm thinking there are separate kits. The 996 Essential Companion lists all the different spring rate per car notating the colors on the springs. The colors on the springs are a key for what spring belongs to which car...C2, C4...

Gert.....can you chime in?
X74 does not have any published spring rates, only ROW are published to my knowledge.
Also X74 for the US market began in 2002 US models. You can still use X74 for MK1 models but Porsche recommends using reinforcement plates due to the less stiff nature of mk1 chassis if using the '02 X74 kit. When I was looking a few years ago, I only came across one X74 kit(000.044.500.33) that was sold in the US. Obviously Gert from Europe would have more expanded variety and availability(including mk1 specific X74 kits).
There are other kits for other models(tips/cabrio) 000.044.500.31(cab), 000.044.500.34(tip). But to my knowledge, didn't differentiate between c2 and c4 in terms of separate part numbers.
Based on my previous research (and if I recall properly):
x74 is for the C2 cars
x73 is what goes on the c4s (not sure if there's a diff between c4s and a c4) and maybe the Turbos as well?
Essentially this kit is for a C2 coupe.
I don't know if there's a difference for convert vs coupe vs targa.
