Default position/parking light bulb alternatives

I noticed one of my 6w position/parking bulbs is out. Candlepower has an Osram MiniXen bulb producing 85 lumens and I see a ton of LED bulbs with a bayonet base on eBay. What are your thoughts on the 85 lumens? Too hot? And opinions on substituting with LED bulbs? I don't want to "overcook" the headlight assembly. I use my fog lights as DRL's and this means the position/parking light is on as well. Thanks all.

I'm not sure which one's you're looking at but I doubt the leds will get hot enough.
Make sure you buy the right base.....120 apart ones. It's very difficult to find as most are 180 apart.
Also make sure the bulb is small enough to fit into the housing. It took me many many trial and error to find LEDs that have the correct base and small enough to fit. I've cut a prong off a 180 base but didn't really like that idea.

Thank you for the heads up on the base. I pulled the bulb and it has a "8 o'clock and 4 o'clock" pin position. I'll measure the base as well. Thanks again!
