Driving a Tip car

How often do you use the Tip controls?

N9921x 06-02-2015 12:21 AM

Almost never.
Use it as an automatic.
Works great.
Wife likes it.
Always in the right gear.

I've used em a handful of times, figure the car is smarter than me so I let it shift for me.

When my thumb slips.

I don't know about the 996 tips but it was interesting reading the 993 owners manual on their tip. It won't give you the crispness of a manual or a pdk but it isn't a total slouch.

Always!

Only after it's properly warmed up and it can start hitting 5k rpm and beyond.

Only at a complete stop when I want to start off in 1st gear.

80% of time tip controls. At stops, I always downshift to 1st.

:roflmao:

If you keep it in d, try Sprint Booster out. I drove one and the difference was pretty darn great.
