I drove up to Mt. Baldy this weekend. Went up Glendora Mountain Road/Glendora Ridge Road all the way to the ski lifts. Kind of regret not taking the lifts up to the restaurant at the top, but had to get back.
Good drive. Road conditions kind of spotty in a couple of places. Coming down the other side I took Mt. Baldy Road back into town. That was a much better drive with better conditions to open it up a little bit.
For you roadies, the Tour of California Stage 7 is going up to Mt. Baldy. Having now driven that road, that is going to be a h*ll of an effort for those guys.
Dirty car.
Overlooking reservoir from one of the turnouts.
Going up Glendora Ridge Road. Just keeps going up and up.
Thanks Ahsai. I happened to catch a bird in the shot just as I hit the shutter on my phone. Had to zoom to figure out what it was as I was posting it.
If I'm honest, I like the roof line going to the back of our cars a little more than the 997. I feel like the 997 is elongated a little further out in the back. Now, if I could have the front end of the 997 on my car, I'd be set.

Amazing our cars don't look aged at all compared to the 997s.
I like our roofline better too. I like the 997's hips. I used to love the 997 headlights but now not sure anymore after a few years. They start to look like the vw beetle eyes to me.
I prefer the rear/side of the 996 over the 997 - i like the line under the back light more than the way it cuts down from above the light - that kinda ruins the look of the side/rear hip.
The 996 looks cleaner.
Better yet, I showed the pic to my wife and she didn't know which was ours. Given the amount of time I've been spending with the new 'mistress', you'd think she'd have more of an interest.

Nice cars. The shot of the reservoir is simply amazing. You would have taken the photo of the month in the Porsche Magazine if your car was in the foreground.
Thanks Hurdi. Would have been a tough shot to get the reservoir and car as there's a big berm/ridge followed quickly by a sheer drop off. Had to scoot up the ridge on foot just to get that shot.
I wish the pictures did a better job of showing the vastness of that area. I couldn't get over just how wide-open and big everything is out there. Really pretty area.

Pretty sure it is, I didn't pay a lot of attention to where I was on the road when I stopped to snap that shot. Google Maps shows the Morris Reservoir out there as well.
