Default Tensioner Pieces

I dropped the oil pump and found quite a few brown plastic pieces. Cleaned the pan and the oil separator and found the one for Cylinder 4-6 clogged. I wonder if these caused the cylinder 4-6 head to crack? The ones in the picture are all from the pan, more came out of cylinder 4-6 oil separator.

Probably not. Many heads crack that have no other signs of any possible cause.

The head just cracks from the stresses encountered over time, possibly aided by a cast mold/core shift or slight mis-position during the casting process that has the wall thickness thinner than it would be normally.

You are probably correct Macster about the clog not likely the cause of the crack. In checking the Oil circuit diagram, a clogged separator would likely not cause a hot spot but more like it would allow more oil to pool in the cylinder head since the extraction pump can not move the oil out as fast...
