Default Convertable top issue

I had a problem where my soft too would not close into the frame of the window when the top closed. I had to push it in with a key. I ask a few people and the told me I needed a new top as this could not be repaired. I took the car to eporsch in bisley surrey UK . They replaced the tensioning cable and the job took them 2 hours.
The roof is working a perfectly now so beware if anyone else has this issue. YOU DONT NEED A NEW ROOF.

Good to know. Thanks.. One question on second thoughts. You say 'Tensioning cables... do you mean the cables under the back part which we have to release when we have the top in 'SERVICE MODE' position???? If so, did they actually adjust them or replace them?

It's the cable that runs through the vinyl piping on the side of the roof. Mine had snapped at the bottom of the roof where it has a loop and is attached to the car with a screw. You can see it when the roof is half way down and the clam is open. I will post a link to the cable

In my case that same tensioning cable detached from the front attachment point (inside the roof). I was able to fix it by riveting the attachment point back on, rather than replacing the cable.
