Default How do I remove BOSE sub enclosure

I'd like to know how its done, so that when they install my coilovers, I'll know if everything goes back TOGETHER properly. I've heard that the "BOSE" trim rings tend to break at the tabs after they are removed a few times....since the ECU is back there, and alot of folks "chip/reprogram" their cars. I've also got sport seats with PAINTED backs that I dont want damaged during the suspension install, so I kinda prefer to prep the car B4 its dropped off.

Fold the rear seats down, remove the square trim rings around the Bose "ports". They snap out if you grab them with one hand on each side and pull straight out. Once you remove them, you'll see (at the bottom and just below that musical port) an allen head screw on each side (or maybe they're Torx, I don't remember). Remove the 2 screws (one for each side) and pull the enlcosure upwards. Once you have lifted it out (it lifts easily), disconnect the wiring harness and pull it out of the car.

That's it.

If you pefer, I can give you another option that requires the removal of the engine but try the easy way first.
