Hi all, looking to sell my cats, willing to ship in the cont US. My FS ad is asking for $600 obo for the pair, however, if this is out of line, please let me know. I just want em' gone.
I may be interested. I'm going to have this coldstart rattle diagnosed once and for all this coming Friday at my independent Porsche mechanic. If it turns out that I have lost one of my catalytic converters and it's making that sound because it's dead, I would be very interested in purchasing at least one of yours.
Bob, just let me know. I hope that is what the sound is...I have had a low rpm tick for about 9 months now, was hoping it was the belts; nope I changed those along with the pulleys and it is still there, then I thought I should do a cat delete and maybe it is them...nope still here, so idk what it is, going to do my spark plugs shortly. I hope that is the problem.
When one of my cats went last year I was quoted about $6000 to replace both with OEM. Went for the cat delete instead. Maybe you are under selling?
wow 6k, I thought they were only about 1500 each. I have a brand new set off my C4S as well as the exhaust, replaced them with the 200 cell fabspeed xpipes and exhaust. Always wondered what they would be worth.
No wonder I'm getting so many info request PM's. I'd rather move them quickly than hold long, they are just taking up space. Plus I would hate to have to spend even 1500 a side (per Jumpers response) for new ones, let alone 6k !!!! For that much, I'd be looking at a turbo kit.
I don't know if they will fit physically but:
1) the locations of the O2 sensors are different so the O2 wiring will be an issue
2) MkII is 3.6 so .2L more exhaust gas to process. The cats are designed for a specific capacity.
COmfmurphy, I just left a visitor message, I cannot PM you as you only have 2 posts. if you see this, or that message, please email me william r 91 @ aol.com (without the spaces). I can have these shipped as soon as payment is received.
