Hello to everyone again. I just did the PSE Hack and am somewhat disappointed. I did all the labor minus the welding and paid $80. Would adding the Fister D type hack be overkill? I have not heard the sound of both together but have seen a few pics of it online.

What year mufflers? The PSE hack is very quiet on MK1 mufflers. Do the Fister hack and if it is too loud cut the PSE off and weld it up.

I got fister d mod on mine gen 1 mufflers. And just added the orange cap mod as well for the extra sound on higher rpm.

I did the PSE on my 2003 cab. It is not as loud as the Fister hack, just a little more bass then stock. I like it on the cab with the top down. Most folks with coupes go to the Fister.

I just discovered the 'orange cap mod' from this thread. I used a lid from a lemonade bottle and it fit perfect. Sounds good.

They sound good but a bit too loud. I just took it on the highway and it sounds good. With the top down it should be just right. If anything ill experiment with the air intake.

I tried the orange cap Mod with a rubber cap and it sounds perfect with the PSE Hack. Ill order the silicone intake hose and call it a day. Thanx again for the info.

I did the orange cap and heard no difference, or given that its been snowing and crappy for the last 60+ days here its possible that I cant remember what the car used to sound like? Waiting for my muffler mod; which I think will have the most significant improvement over stock.

Seems to add a deeper sound to the muffler hack.

Change your catalytic converters to an x-pipe.

My PSE was somewhat loud before but once installing the new cats it really opened things up. Plus it has a higher pitch howl now similar to what the GT3 sounds like.
