Default My new Cab

Just bought my second 996, my ninth 911.
Well kept 2002 C4 with 80k miles. Still winter here in Sweden so I have to wait.
Typical car you should drive all year compared to my previous 911s, but I use mine from April to October.
I do like the Seal grey, nice 8 and 10" Gt3 wheels but a mess to keep clean. Just sold the wheels and found a set of Carrera IIIs.
So I will continue my slow walk up each generation. Planned for a 997, but it can wait

Default Nice 996

Congratulations on the nice, shiny new Cab!
Mine is a C4 Cab, 2002.
I went to Excellence Mag and ordered the issue that featured the new [in 2002] Carrera. All of the improvements from the previous 996 were listed in the article.
There were some substantial changes from 2001 to 2002.
The issue is #106 from November 2001.
The back issues are $10.00 [US] each but well worth it because you can learn quite a bit from reading the article.

Soon my new Carrera III wheels will be on.
Did a full refurbish on all four myself. Pretty satified before clearcoat so far.Ordered code 9A1 on cans and put some time on prep work and a thin layer of primer. Venting our cellar now since my family is wondering what I am doing. Too cold outside

Found this photo of another Cabrio with Carrera III wheels. Will look good on my 02 Cabrio Seal grey as well I hope. Only 7 mm spacers in the front.

Default Finally my "new" Carrera III wheels

Just got them on yesterday. Happy with the results. The GT3s are nice as said earlier but a pain to keep clean. What do you think?
Painted them myself after ordering color coded cans 9A1 and then clearcoat 3-4 layers.

Henrik beautiful car - yes that's my car - I use the carrera III for the summer tires - freshens up the car quite a bit - but I have to say the offset is a little off for the 996 so like you I added spacers - in my case I only went 5mm but 7mm would probably look nicer

Enjoy !

2mm cannot make any difference on yours. Must look as good
