The 996 C4S has a very nice looking rear end with the stock tail lights. Unfortunately, these LED units disrupt the original design of the car's tail lights which paid homage to older 911 rear ends with the center reflector strip. I'm sure some people will like them and buy them, but personally I don't like them.

I couldnt figure it out, but I think thats it for me too Dennis. Alone they arent bad looking, but something about the 997 look just doesnt line up. If they had an option that continued the continuity of the rear strip, maybe a red bottom and smoked upper I think it would work better.

I think the color difference between the center reflector strip and the aftermarket tail lights will be more apparent on a darker colored car than the one shown in these photos.

I've got a pair of dectane on my 996. You can buy them smoked as well.
