Default Identify this part

I took my front bumper off and cleaned the radiators. When I was through and everything was back together, I found this plastic piece on the left side (drivers - USA) of the car near the wheel. Can anyone identify it? I've been pouring over the diagrams and can't seem to find anything that resembles it.

I didn't remove it, so worse case was it popped off while I was removing one of the more difficult screws, e.g. under the wheel well. Best case, I was something that I picked up on the road and was in the bumper crud.

Thanks for any help.

2001 C4 Cab.

Just part of the grommet things (don't know the name) that hold the plastic wheel-well liners in place. Not a a problem. If the plastic piece is loose you can replace them. Probably can get them at any auto parts store.

I think I recall a piece that looked something like this that plugged a hole that provided access to the side marker light.
Look for a hole in the black fender liner at the level of the side marker light.

Re-usable expanding plastic rivet center pin. One of five or six that hold the wheel liner on. Replace it or risk the liner dropping down onto the tire. See pic 13 here
