Default Seal grey with lightweights - Change wheel color??

my 02 C2 is seal gray and i have the lightweights on it. The paint has chipped in several places, but no real curb rash. Thought matte black (i did my gray four runner) would be kinda cool, but almost seems wrong to do on those wheels..
what does the crowd think??

I had them in black (both gloss and then matte) and another set in silver flake powder coat and didn't like any of them as much as the factory paint. In my opinion, original silver is the best colour for them.

I agree with Charlie - on a seal grey car, the color you have is IMO the best color.

Thanks guys- i do love the seal gray on black interior and the wheels are in pretty decent shape- leaning towards leaving them alone then!!

I just got an 03 seal grey NB myself; and just bought a set of those same five spoke lightweight wheels too. They have a couple small paint chips in them (at least from what I could see in the pix of them from the seller). Anyone have any tips on ways to do touch up work on them? I don't really want to pop for full refinishing job (at least not yet).

I'm not a fan of black wheels generally, and I wouldn't dream of putting them on my Seal Gray '03 C2 coupe.

If anything try them in Black (flat) Plasti-Dip. If you don't like 'em just peel it off!

Black and tint the windows, that would look very nice.

Black/Red, still need to lower, since an LS3 is lighter then a M96

I'm a fan of the silver wheels with the seal grey.

It looks good as-is. But matte black would look really nice too.

Crap. Can't attach on my iPad but had a seal grey 986 and had wheels powder coated gloss black and I loved it. Pm your email and I can email you a pic.

My car is seal grey and I like the OEM silver look too, but I must say fierofly, your combo looks great. The red calipers and little red script tie in the red trim on the rims nicely. Are the calipers painted? And how'd you do the red lip on the wheels?

Powder coat them KTM orange...

Only kidding. Sort of. I'm kind of a fan of orange as well.

Thanks, It's a 2003 C4S, Calipers came Red, The red on the rims is a plastic wheel protector that sticks on the rim edge, bought E=Bay. Then you add one of these to match.
