Question Looking for a Frunk Container Bin. Any ideas?

I'm looking for a container that will fit into the frunk properly. Anyone have anything they are using. I have a spare tire (doughnut) mounted vertically on the wall closer to the cabin and also have an amp mounted on the opposite wall. So my dimensions at the tightest areas are 12(deep) x24(wide) x16(high).

I found this on amazon and it should fit, but was wondering if anyone is using something else that fits better.
Amazon.com - Sterilite 19859806 30-Quart Ultra Latch Box, White Lid See-Through Base with Titanium Latches, 6-Pack - Lidded Home Storage Bins Amazon.com - Sterilite 19859806 30-Quart Ultra Latch Box, White Lid See-Through Base with Titanium Latches, 6-Pack - Lidded Home Storage Bins

Main purpose is to put stuff in for when i bring the car to the track. It would so much easier to just place the tools, fluids, and parts in bin.

Good question....I was thinking about this recently as well. There is one for the 997 (link below) but I'm sure the contours are different enough for the liner to not work in our car. Bummer as the factory accessory is pretty nice.

That does look nice, but its just a liner right? its not something that is rigid and will hold shape when removed.

I just ordered this (
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002BA5F52 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002BA5F52
) and plan on stacking two of them giving me 15" height covered instead of 12" with the item i originally posted.

It comes in a pack of 6 so if anyone local wants two, let me know.

I've just used Rubbermaid bins similar to the links above in both the 996 and Cayman.
It may not be the most fashionable, but they work great if you can find one that fits well.

I consider this off topic because it doesn't answer your direct question and it makes me crazy when people do this; but, why are you looking for a container that is the exact size of our frunk instead of just using your frunk? Is it because you're concerned about liquids or dirty items you travel with that you don't want to trash the carpet (liner)? Certainly not saying you don't need a container but just curious. Maybe I need one!

its easier to load and unload. when packing up after an event, its much easier to place the bin in the trunk than to have to arrange all the items accordingly so they fit.

also, when i get home, i have a central place for all the things i need for the next event. its really about organization, but keeping the trunk cleaner is a welcomed side effect.

Am I the only thinking an insert like the 997 would make for the most awesome tailgating Porsche ever! I could easily fit 96 cans in that bad boy. Not to mention the chicks wouldn't be able to stay away!

You can buy them at Home Depot, Walmart, Target and Lowes for around $6.00 each
They have a few similar, but different sizes, so you could get one of each that is close and see which one works the best

I'm picking up one that I can put a lock on the cover so when my stuff is taken out for AX or a track event, I can lock it

Nice topic, Hooger. I believe you guys are on to something. I like the idea & those Tupperware sorts of things are available in lots of sizes, shapes and colors; even in black: http://www.rona.ca/en/storage-box-03675026--1 (Not sure of the required size, just an example).

The ones at Lowes and Home Depot don't seem to have the correct dimensions for my use, but i'm sure it will be perfect for those who don't have either an amp or a tire or both mounted the way mine are.

I should be getting the amazon order delivered tomorrow so i'l report back on how they fit with photos.

That looks nice, but they don't publish the exact dimensions.

you must have some pretty big amps. I have an a Alpine 6 channel in the frunk on the side and the containers I have fit fine
