New Jersey Law Revised

Starting on Friday, August 15th, the price of a ticket for 39:3-29
(failure to show your driver's license, registration, or insurance
card at the time you are stopped) is going from $44.00 to $173.00.

Pleasemake sure your vehicles have the proper documents in them. If you jump in the car to run to the store and forget your wallet with your license in it and are stopped....oh well...you just spent $173.00. And if you don't
have all three documents, that total is $519.00!!!!!

Wonder if the charge for not having a front plate will be inforced more, and what that fine would be.

 

NJ doesn't give you a day to present a valid license, registration, or insurance card? How many other states are like that?

 

Doesn't sound like it from the email I received. Wonder if we're going to see more road stops?

 

I drive down to AC 2 or 3 times a month, so I'll be sure to put in my insurance card as soon as possible when it renews in a few months.

 

I just took my front plate off and ordered bumper plugs from Eric. Hope I don't get hassled for not having a front plate.
