3k-4k for everyday shifting and practice practice. It seems as though this car likes the revs more than putzing around. As a fellow renner said drive it like you stole it and it still won't be as hard as it was meant to driven.

AS: blipping throttle on upshifts isn't normally needed on 996's. but if one is having "trouble" getting into gear, blip the throttle (despite you having syncro" you will get in gear.
