Default Squeaky window

When opening and closing door...window drops its normal 1/4 to 1/2 inch (or whatever it is). Problem is it squeaks in both directions when rubbing the window seal. Is there anything I can put on that rubber seal that won't ruin it to make the noise stop?

Does it make any noise when you raise and lower the window using the button?

+1 Gummi Pflege.
Good stuff to use.
It keeps convertible top seals and other such things from squeaking too.

Mine still squeaks. Even after using Gummi Pflege.

Actually mine does too, but not from the seals that I treated. After treating the seals some of the total noise did go away which I believe means the remaining squeaks are not seal related.
I think that much of the noise is coming from interior trim pieces moving between themselves and at their attachment points.
Addressing these things is more involved than I want to get with the car and so I just let it make the noise it's gonna make.

For those that still squeak. Did you lube the "rubbing" blocks ~above/behind your head? You can see them when you stop the top in the service position. Mine were so loud at certain temps that I almost couldn't hear my FisterDs.

OK, so you got me wondering and I just had to go out and look at those seals/blocks.
I just applied Pflege to all of the seals again including all I could find on the top. Takes about 10-15 minutes if you're thorough.

I just wish it were as easy to address noises in the dash trim, door panels, etc.

Thanks for the info btw.

I lubbed the rubbing blocks. I have also gone through the many Porsche TSBs on fixing noises in the Cab top and implemented many of them. I still get noises. The roads here are amazingly bad which may account for the racket. I swear there are more metal plates than pavement.
