Default Uppr shock mounts, stock Vs pillow ball?

I am replacing my shocks and my top mounts are toast. i am wondering what effect the stock rubber mounts VS the solid pillow ball camber plates make? Handling, road noise, general feeling? I will be going with beilstine HD and stock springs

I track several time a year. I also do some long commutes (3-4 hours) once or twice a month.

Car is a 1999 C4 with 130K miles

Any words of wisdom? The aftermarket Camber plates are the same prices as the OEM ruber mounts, someone must have installed them.

Thanks

I've run camber plates with spherical on a number of my street cars. If you're experiencing uneven tire wear on your fronts, I'd suggest that you go for an aftermarket set, especially on the front. I'll likely go with sphericals, when I upgrade to coilovers on my 90% street 996.

Sorry, no direct experience on the 996, but if you're comfortable with a very slight increase in NVH, I don't think you'll regret upgrading, especially if it allows you to run more camber up front.
