I asked in the 997 forum but figured I would verify the 996 as well since I am looking at both.
Do all 2001+ model Carrera 4 have the widebody or only the 4S and Turbo?

 

Only 4S and turbo cars in the 996 series.

Im not sure but does the 40Ae have the Widebody as well?

 

I don't think it does. It has the same front bumper cover as the C4S and turbo, but it is a narrow body car.

 

The 40th AE is definitely a narrow body.

 

Is the wide-body basically just wider in the hips? A turbo frt bumper fits on my C2

 

It's wider at the hips and the rear bumper. The turbo and C4S rear bumper cover is wider than the C2 bumper cover. You can make it "fit", but it doesn't quite sit down the way it would on a wider car. I've seen that a couple of times.

 

After the doors the widebody is different. So the hips along with the rear bumper differ.

 

Similar to J-LO, but not quite that wide.
