now that looks like fun! A higher mileage 40ae with a gt3rs wing. I wonder if it’s actually a 996 gt3rs or a replica wing though. Either way looks pretty cool if your into that. Somebody should buy this!
Nice car. If the wing is genuine, it is worth a small fortune. Even the replicas are a couple of grand by the time you paint them. I’m not a fan of the GT3RS badging on the decklid, but that is easily corrected. Somebody should buy this ASAP.
This is in our local Craigslist, if it was 2021, I would already have driven and probably paid for it, but I have to finish the mortgage before I get another 911, especially a $77,500 Turbo. And, its black, I don't think I want to maintain black, even basalt black metallic. I will be very happy to drive an hour to check this car out for a serious buyer. On a nice day of course, so I can take my cabriolet.
Available for sale is my 2010 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo (997.2). This low-mile example of Porsche's flagship sports car has been well cared for by Porsche specialists since it was new and carries with it nearly every option available on the Turbo. The auto had an original MSRP of over $152K. The car has received a few minor improvements and remains in near showroom new condition. Produced with 500 HP in stock trim, this machine has between 600-650 HP with the finest performance adds available.
Sorry, gents and ladies. I posted that 997 Turbo because it is a Craigslist Find. I did not realize that thread was within the 996 forum. So, please excuse my ignorance.
agreed. If the owner has the service history, and if you can go to his mechanic to get the backcourt story on it, I think it’s a fair deal.
I just got mine last week for $18k. But had it not been for meeting with the owner, the mechanic, and knowing the car’s full history, I would have been rolling the dice on an 18 year old Carrera.

That's a super cool car there. I don't love the wing, but bet it looks better in person. I would LOVE to know what it actually sells for. The guy at the end of the rainbow would probably pay full asking, but most will say mileage will affect getting top dollar.

I think the general car buying public has said it's too pricey -- unless I'm mistaken, that car has been for sale for a looooong time.
Yes it is! Depending on history and what it drives like, that's a "here's your money, thank you!" kind of deal there. Do people in Utah hate Porsches? As white as it is out there, i wouldn't think so, lol.
It could be a fair price but this one needs a thorough PPI, a plan to replace the IMS, and an affinity for all that butterscotch colored interior. Not my thing, but I’m probably in the minority on this.

I'm OK with the butterscotch, so will be calling the seller later this afternoon.
Can someone check my math?
I've been trying to get a good estimate for the costs to have all the following done on a 996: IMS/RMS/AOS/water pump/clutch and other miscellaneous "while you're in there" items.

Lol! I don't know why, but the market seems to be a little soft here. Pretty good car scene here, Porsche included. Been some good deals on 996TT as well.

Is that around $5-6k?
I like the butterscotch too, especially with black. I would say your doing good with $5-6k reserve. Probably a little less would cover it unless something pops up.
