Finding a 914 that doesn't have rust in the problem areas (battery tray) or a rotten trunk is getting harder. The one in the photo is one of the most solid 914's I've seen. The paint on the rear deck is shot (it's got rust under the paint in several spots), but the body is solid and straight. If my buddy put $10K into a good paint job, a new dash, and a few items in the cabin, it could be a $20K car...but I don't think it'll ever happen.

I ragged the hell out of that car for several hours yesterday...by the time I got back home, it was smoky, stinky, the brakes had boiled, and I had a grin on my face that ONLY comes from an awesome drive in a good car.

I thought the Carrera GT was banned due to being "Unsafe at Any Speed."
