Default Coolant Drip

Went to the garage today - saw a spot of coolant on the floor - under rear right of car. There was a drop of coolant where the small J shaped hose connects to the black plastic pipe at the right rear of car. Maybe weak spring clip ? I moved clip a bit with plyers - hose itself seems to be OK - Coolant level was fine. Took car for a 10 mile run - temp was normal (180F) - no sign of leak at end of run. Should I be OK - or should I replace hose / clips ? (Which I assume means drain/fill coolant). Anyone had experience with that kind of leak ?

Thanks

Any pics? I don't recall any plastic coolant pipe. There are rubber and metal lines.

You could try a jubilee clip next to the spring clip right before the rubber. That may cure it. If not then I would check further for the exact source of the drip. No problem unless the reservoir gets low. Keep your eye there for a while.

Here is pic of where coolant was dripping - after I moved the clip - no leak today either. Maybe I will put a second clip at the end of the hose per Hurdi's advice - can't hurt ..

When it comes to coolant leak, my rule is if it's leaking, just replace it. The reason is those hoses/clamps are 10+ yrs old now and they can go soft, have cracks, etc. Basically ticking bombs. You don't want them to fail at the most inconvenient time and place and get you stranded. That short hose and two hose clamps are not expensive at all and they are very easy to get to being at the rear most. It's a no brainer to me to replace them.
