Default Guards Red C4s project

Hello, RL. I have been watching this ebay listing for about 3 weeks now.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-911-...302320?vxp=mtr

I really like this car. I have been looking for a 4S for over 3 months. I was slow on purchasing one that was white/black. My dream porsche is a White Tan 6 speed (or tip). 4s with the wide body. I actually spoke to this broker and he said the car was a one owner but he guy drove it like he stole it and upgraded to a turbo.

I would put a new engine in it and run with it. The problem is I just bought a CS 2005. Wife wanted it not me but it makes a nice driver. It looks like I will be putting a few grand away each month to try and get into a 911. I am also thinking about a project car that is a 997 that needs engine and tranny, interior is great and body. I have been watching these items stand still on ebay but if I had the extra scratch I would be on them now. Anyone want to buy it and save it for me ..

Oh well enough rant. Anyone else been watching this car?

According to seller, it's basically a roller. He's about $8k to $10k too high for a roller.

Browsing through C-list I saw this:

997 project w/out engine or tranny. no affiliation whatsoever, just remembered your post.

Drop in a 2.7 Boxster motor and stick on some GT3RS badges.

Seriously this would be a great candidate for a 4.2L engine.

9k.
That one needs about $5k+ to bring the missing body parts up to par along with getting the more expensive "S" calipers.

The 997 has potential the red vert is a total waste of time with 175k miles. Unless you have knowledge/tools and connections for reasonable parts its way cheaper and financially savvy to buy a good running low mileage car.
