I got call from friend the other day to ask if I ever heard of both heads blown at the same time , I was told that he was cursing at 70 miles per hour when suddenly the temp gauge red hot and the ENGEN looked on him ,and there was coolant coming out both exhaust . Coolant mixed with oil . It's 2000 c2 and have 90000 miles on the clock . Has any one heard of such thing.

There have been a few (at least one possibly two) reports similar to yours.
It is highly unlikely both head gaskets blew at the same time. Besides my take is a cracked head is much more common -- not that it is all the much more common -- than a failed head gasket.
But two heads cracking at the same time is a pretty low probability event too.
Doesn't make much difference at this point. Your friend is facing a potential huge repair bill. Just to ID what exactly happened and whether the engine's salvageable or not can run $1000 or more.
Then the cost only goes up from there. He can buy a factory replacement engine. Stand by for lots of dollar signs. $$$$$. He can repair/rebuild the existing engine provided a professional agrees the engine is a good foundation still. $$$$. Or your friend can source a used engine. This brings with it the risk the replacement engine may be sick (or sicker) than the engine in the car right now. $$$.
Now not to get your friend's hopes up too high but say if a head is cracked or there is some other failure -- the AOS can fail and I believe allow coolant into the intake -- the engine could be repairable and for not that much money. $$. But this is a maybe.
It's not the gaskets, something else let go. My bet is it was in the red for a while before the engine suezed, in any case, he is better off getting a good used engine than to try to fix a severily over heated one....or time to seell the car as-is. Let me know if he wants to sell it, I might know a buyer.
Thanks for the respond Macster , It's going in on Tuesday to Indy just to find out what happen , the temp was fine till suddenly red hot and the engen froze , it's like dumped all the coolant in the engen at once . I'll keep you posted .
Imo000, I'll pass your offer to him.
Holy crap, a month of dropping the motor, buying parts, and taking mechanic selfies before he realized that his AOS was blown. That, folks, is how you PROPERLY jump to a conclusion.
