Does anyone know when and why there were different versions of the headlights? Some had painted inner shroud and some didn't... Was that changed over the years? I now it was done on the Amber lights, not sure about the clear lights.

I just realized there was a difference, but have always wondered why some headlights looked better than others, aside from the clearness of the lens... Did the clear lenses come with painted shrouds too?

That's actually a second shroud under the clear shroud. Some have them, some don't.
With the 30+ sets I've seen, it seems pretty random.

That's weird, why did some come painted and others not? Must have been an option or model related some how no? I prefer the painted...
