The plugs can be a little bit involved if you don't remove the exhaust. Replacing just the coils could be done in an hour. 8 hours is excessive for all of that work.

sounds like a lot of diy stuff.
why replace plug wires?
do you have some sort of misfire?
coil paks, all at once, each one comes off with two bolts.
$3.3k sounds waaaaaaaaaay too much.

My shop charged me less than $500.
You don't need a porsche specialist to do a 60k maintenance . I laugh at you guys paying bend you over prices

That sounds obscenely expensive for the amount of work required. Idle curiosity (IM me if you want) but who are you taking it to that is so expensive in the TPA area?

I'm currently living in another state but I want to avoid them when I get back.

Run from this dealer. There are no wires to replace. Sound like they're talking about high voltage spark plug wires like cars from the '80s or before.

The local Porsche dealer quoted me $3600 for a clutch and IMSB replacement. So, yeah, you're fixin' to get hosed, OP.
