Anybody know which connector wire is positive and which is negative for the radiator fan connector? Is it color coded?
Also, what type of test lead should I use- alligator clip, male, female, etc.?
I assume the easiest 12v test power source is the car's battery? Other equipment I have is a portable jump starter w/12V cigarette adapter plug. Also cheap craftsman multimeter. Thanks.

Brown is ground (or negative).
Left fan positive leads: yellow/red - high, yellow/green - low
Right fan positive leads: yellow/green - high, yellow/blue - low
You can use anything as long as it conducts electricity
Using a portable jump start is much safer.

Fan testing is feature of Durametric - makes this an even more worthy investment. You can activate the fans using a laptop. Added bonus is that the wiring circuits are also tested.
