I had the red box pads on my 996 for a couple weeks. The squealing drove me nuts. I bought OEM pads and the squealing stopped. I gave the Mintex pads to a fellow board member. I do not believe that just because it is made by Porsche, it must be better. Based on my mods, it is obvious that I think that our cars can be improved upon. I do think that Porsche might have got it right on the brakes.
