Had an argument with the wife about her build options. She thinks she had the PSE, but I disagree and it's not listed as a separate option on the sticker or final order form.
Does anyone have the list of 01 build options and/or know any of the other codes that included the PSE?
Possible options on our car would be:
P04 - Advanced Technic
P06 - GT Package
I think the first was the stereo upgrade and the second should be the Aerokit.
But I must be missing something... Does she have a PSE button that changes the exhaust note or can you look for the dashpot on the exhaust itself? Seems like the obvious way to see if she has PSE. (edit: evidently some PSE exhausts don't have a PSE button, presumably they are always in loud mode?)
Didn't know the PSE had a button. Just thought it was more open and had a different exhaust note. As I said, I'm sure she didn't get it.
The P06 exhaust is (I believe) is just referring to the tips. I forget what the normal ones looked like, but these are large single ovals. These are actually chrome though, was that sheet from a 01 book?
I know we don't have the PSE option by itself. The question was if it also came as part of any packages with P04 (pretty much ruled out) and P06 being the only two potentials from our option list.
for full reference, here is her car (don't know why it shows as a targa rather that the C4 it actually is (yes the front wheels have power and yes it has a fixed solid roof )):
The switch is not always the tail tail sign. I had a pse exhaust without the electronic valve control.
Mine came with a factory aero kit so maybe that's the exhaust. Look under the car at the mufflers and look if the exhaust has the valves which is what the pse exhaust is, mine just had rubber plugs where the valve control would have connected.
