Where are all those Porsches?

Where are all those Porsches?
Just got back from a trip to Washington and British Columbia but hardly saw any P-Cars at all. You cannot move 10 yards in London without seeing a Carrera of some description or 1000 yards without seeing a Turbo.
I managed to see a white 993 outside the Four Seasons in Seattle, an artic C4S driving down Robson in Vancouver and two 996's (1 grey? and 1 guards red), in Banff main street. BUT that was it. Where were you guys?

I pass at least twenty P-cars everyday just on the short, 7-mile drive into the office (along the coastline). This morning, I passed a new GT3 and see the same GT2 and several TTs everyday. So. California has the lion share of P-cars in the US--something to do with the weather

Paul, I find it remarkable as well that there are so few on the road up here. I commute every day between downtown Seattle and the northern suburbs and can easily go a month without seeing another 996 on the road. You see a few more on the eastside of Lake Washington but even there they are far from common. My theory is they are mostly garage queens up here with all the rain and with most of them probably being C-2s. Look me up next time your in town and I'll spot you a short term pass at the beachclub I run (www.sunsetbay.com)

Paul, sorry I missed you here in Vancouver. There are lots of P-Cars here but not as many as in London which is the capital of the global wealthy and highly paid City workers, in my opinion.
I think I just don't drive around town much because the traffic is bad as are the drivers here. A P-car is overkill here in Vancouver as we do not have the big freeways and wide roads found in California or Arizona.
Hope you had fun here.

At least there is somebody else on the same island !! I am regular on BMW board that is predominantly UK based but there doesn't appear to be anything UK based for Porsche.
Been 'lurking' for a few days here and there are lot of obviously informed people but not much chance of a 'meet' !!
Anybody else UK based ?
Colin

Paul,
i had the same feeling, i where in Washington DC in may and Chicago end of july, but really, i didn't see that much P-cars around! a few 996's, or boxters one SC..(6-7 'n total..?).
I understand that the 993 are keeped in garages for the next owner. but..
maybe all of them are in Cal. !

Anyway - for whatever reason I think the majority of the 964 board members on Rennlist are in the UK. I've always wondered why that was concidering there are not that many on the other boards.
They are occassionally setting up rennlist outings, etc... and having alot of fun.

I am not as fortunate to see many Porsche on the road in London when I am there. I often only have the opportuntiy to see then on my way to or from the airport when I stop in to see my freinds at AFN Chiswick.

Yeah Pat. You have a good point. I live up north but work in Watford.
I go into London at least 3 days a week! I "rarely" see any 996s.
If I said I saw one a week I would probably be lying. I am serious.

Funny, I saw an unusual number of 996's in the Cleveland metro area, particularly around Shaker Heights, Chagrin Falls, Beachwood, and Pepper Pike. I would see as many as two a day and at least one turbo a day. I thought that odd within the "Hearthbeat of America"
