Paul,
Come to New York City sometime, there are P-cars everywhere...and if you go out to the east end of Long Island (the Hamptons), there will be one every few feet, literally. BTW, sounds like there has been climate swap between the Northeast and the UK, you've got the oppresive heat, and we've got the rain....can we have our weather back pls.

Actually I grew up in Florida and then spent several years in Seattle. I can still remember the first time I came home for Christmas one year. Stepping off the plane in Orlando was the first time I understood that saying, "It's not the heat, it's the humidity." The air was so thick it had a presence, and mid 80s temperature didn't help much either. To think I somehow managed to survive an un air-contditioned dorm in Gainesville for a year.

Then again, it's not like Seattle has great weather either. One of these days I'll get it right.
