HELP!!! Changed breaks but now my radio doesn't work...
I changed my breaks including replacing my pads and rotors. I also painted my calibers. However after I did my swap, my radio no longer works. I did replace my break pad sensors. Could I have short circuited something?
Any ideas?

The issue is that you changed your "breaks" - this is known to break everything. Next time, change your brakes, and nothing will break.
Did you also replace the 996's spleen?

Did you repaint your IMS when you painted your Breaks? I know the Porsh engineers designed it to be left unpainted, but there has not been a single failure of any IMS that has been painted in a paisley design.
As for the radio, check the tuning fluid level by removing the cigarette lighter and placing a fork in that socket. If you feel a slight tingling, then you are low... may want to send the engine to be rebuilt.

This car is obviously too high tech for you to be wrenching on. I highly suggest a Miata. But, since you did paint the calibers, I would return them to the original .45 acp caliber. The 9mm is too thin.

Did your radio work before the break work?

Burning Brakes
This thread belongs in the good week in the 996 section.
I went with .50 caliber, go big or go home. One tap on the brakes and it does the rest for you. Don't even have to keep my foot on the pedal to bring the car to a full stop.
