Default 40th AE wheels

Anyone sucessfully refinished a 40th AE standard wheel?

Mine are a bit marked up, and 1 has damage to the rim.

duplicating the original finish is very difficult if not impossible to do ,i know ive looked into it,and have brought them to some of the best places here in the metro New york area.So if you want you can still purchase the wheel from Porsche, approx $1200 new or take them to a reputable wheel refinishing place and tell them to get the finish as close as possible....good luck

This is why took mine off and put on Victor's.
Well, that plus looks cooler with matte black rims than crome.

It looks like just polished metal with a clear coat.

I have Victor's on mine, but wanted to refurb the standard wheels so when they become ultra collectable I can put it back to standard and sell it at an extrotionate profit....after fitting an LN bearing of course

It looks like a semi polised/peened finish

The wheel refurm guy I spoke with says a chrome finish powder coat will be about the closest he can get.

Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience of a refinish on these

My plan as well. The rims and the luggage will be worth more than the car
