Default Gundo hack/Fister D

Can anyone provide photos showing left and right modifications. Considering doing this and want to be able to drop mufflers off at a local shop with photos to duplicate the modification.

Thanks, what is the sound difference between both? Hard to tell listening to many of the youtube videos. The first pic, you basically just cut a hole in the can? There is nothing behind that area (hollow space).

The top picture is the way the factory does it except they have a solenoid valve in line so you can turn it on or off but many people complain it is isnt loud enough. The bottom way seems to be the much preferred of doing it. I did it to mine and i love it. It is just about perfect.

So this is just for the sound effect correct?

^^ +1. I have my cans off, ready to bring them in - I'd like to hear any responses to Revn's question too!

Could this potentially cause a fail at the clean air (emissions) testing?

Darin of Fister Motorsports says the mod has no effect on emissions.

So thinking of going Fister D mod (bypass pipe between inlet and outlet). Looks like a tight fit using a straight pipe due to what appears to be a bolt on the muffler in that first photo. I notice the actual Fister photo shows the bypass pipe with a bend in it but no bolt on the can.
Not ever having the mufflers off the car not sure what to expect. I am most likely going to try to have it done locally to save on time and shipping charges. Can anyone here address my concerns with the use of a straight pipe and tell me what diameter tube to use between both.

Mufflers serve no other purpose (to my knowledge) than to turn down the sound of an engine.... Thus there should be no effect on emissions other than noise emissions.

I meant to say bolt from the clamp as I know it needs to be a good position to be able to reach it from under the car. so that if you want to remove the tailpipe piece you do not have to remove the muffler.

So...I wonder what a FISTofGUNDO combined mod would sound like ? You know do them both together on the same muffler.
