I love bell bottoms! Kidding, but my next 911 will be a SC or 3.2 and I think it will be nice to have the two worlds of 911's in the stable. I like the "coziness" of the older car with the smaller dimensions and the frugal interior. I say frugal not as a criticism but a compliment to the simplicity and providing what is necessary.

Lots of aircooled blah, blah.... yup. Love to both worlds.
Very true - sadly that is the case with all performance/sports cars these days.

I was at my independent this week , chatting while he did a job on my turbo .
Most air cooled customers he only sees once a year for a basic service . He likes servicing them but makes little money . Complete opposite with the w/ c stuff .

Im looking for a good 996 to compliment the 964 .

That's because the aircooled ones are not DDs anymore. Driven only on weekends and only ifnthe weather is nice will not rack up many miles too require frequent repairs. Almost all air cooled 911 are garage queens nowdays.

And this is exactly why we in the water cooled brigade should be so frigging happy with our rides. "Armpits?" NFW just the opposite. The air cooled were awesome but their time has come and gone. We are driving the first generation of a new breed of 911.

Ok you can't mention your 3.6 Turbo without posting any photos of it. To me that model is the best looking air-cooled there is!
