Lost both of my headlight washer caps!
So I lost the drivers side one a few days ago..no biggie, read that this is pretty common. So I ordered one from suncoast yesterday. So as luck would have it I lost the other one today!
My question is, are the new ones going to just blow off in a couple weeks too? At 50 bucks a pop that could add up quick, has anyone figured out a way to just like glue some sort of cap on them and just not use the washers?

The first day I had my car, drove it home from the dealer and went to fill it up with my son who was about 18 at the time. He's one of those guys who always has to be playing with something. So I'm filling it up and he's walking around the car looking at everything and he sees the headlight washers. Of course the first thing he has to do is start pulling on one and he breaks it. Had the car an hour and he's already broke it...

Don't use them at any speed. I had my car over 150MPH multiple times now, both caps are still there. I have a rag that works miracles on anything that needs cleaning.

Weird, I use mine (and have on previous ones) often, haven’t had trouble so far. Maybe sun exposure or different climates damage them? I’d imagine the caps are the same but I’ve had them on C2, C4S and Turbo.

I have survived without headlight washers in every car I've owned except my Volvo 240, which always seemed funny given that the headlights on that car were about a foot square. One would have needed to apply a large pizza to each headlamp to successfully black it out, and I'm not sure the headlight squirters would have been sufficiently powerful to take care of a New York crust, let alone a good Chicago pie.

I put epoxy on the swivel points of the covers which doesn't show and they ain't going nowhere!

I've had headlight washers on a number of cars and NEVER found them to be useful. Maybe they're for people that don't bother ever washing their cars? BTW, I've had to replace the stupid caps on an Audi and Maserati, so it's not just Porsche.

I programmed mine to raise at +120 mph for additional down force..

The caps on my Boxster were designed perfectly to get ripped off by my car wash mitts. Ever freaking time I washed that car, I wound up searching the driveway for one or both of 'em.
