I may be able to help. PM me with the VIN and I can do a search related to prior claims submitted to insurance companies. If an insurance claim was ever submitted I will know. Having said that, realize that all damages don't get reported to insurance companies for one reason or another.
Titles get washed by re-titling from one state to another. What may appear to be a clean title today may in fact have been branded salvage title in the past, though I'm not suggesting that is the case in this particular situation.
